What Our Guests Say

"We stayed this past Friday for a quick stop up north to the Speyside region, and this B&B was just wonderful. Upon arrival (after a redeye flight and a 2.5hour drive from Edinburgh) Janet and Graham were friendly, warm, and inviting. They recommended a couple of places to get some dinner, and while we settled into the Glenfiddich room, Graham welcomed us with a couple of drams and some shortbread and macaroons. Our room was clean and comfortable, and our breakfast the next morning was perfect. They are only a 15 minute drive/train from both the Dalwhinnie distillery (which we recommend) and also to Aviemore, a cute little town just 15 minutes north. We ended up finding out that we were their very first guests after just recently taking over, but we felt as if they had been doing this for years! All in all we highly recommend staying here, and we look forward to staying again with Janet and Graham on our next trip! "

"Lovely comfortable B&B near the centre of Kingussie, Graham and Janet are excellent hosts and we felt very welcome. Breakfast was very nice, with a good choice of options and flexibility on time. Kingussie is very convenient for trips to the Highland Wildlife Park and is well-connected to the rest of the Cairngorm National Park. We would definitely stay here again. "

16 April 2018 - Tripadvisor

"We stayed at Arden House for a week this April as it was local to Highland Wildlife Park. What a find! The owners Janet and Graham are lovely people; warm, welcoming and attentive. Our room Tomatin was amazing - the room is larger than average with a comfy king-sized bed, chairs to relax in and a lovely ensuite bathroom. The whole B and B was spotlessly clean and we had everything we needed provided in the room that you would expect in a quality B and B. Arden House is conveniently located on the main street in the quiet village of Kingussie, which means you can walk to the local shops and restaurants but despite being on the end of the main street the B and B was very quiet. There is also off-road parking. Janet and Graham couldn’t have been more helpful; nothing was ever too much trouble, including advice on where to eat and places to visit. They also went out of their way to accommodate all our needs, even including being prepared to cook us breakfast slightly earlier than usual due to our need to leave early for a long drive home. Breakfasts were excellent, including cereals, fruit, toast etc plus of course a full Scottish breakfast. We left feeling as if we had made some new friends and know we will be back to visit again. Thank you Janet and Graham for a lovely stay - see you again soon!"
